Robert “Bob” Conroy, CPCU, CIC, has been the Executive Director of the Iowa FAIR Plan Association since January 2013. His diverse insurance experience includes roles of agent, broker, sales and marketing management, and information technology executive management. He has been published in several insurance journals and has been a keynote speaker at many industry events and seminars.
Bob was a long-time board member and past president of the Iowa CPCU Society Chapter. He has been a board member of the Iowa Insurance Hall of Fame, the IIAI Agency Management/Technology Committee, the Company Council of Executive Officers (CCEO) for the Professional Insurance Agents of America (PIA), the NAIC Electronic Commerce and Regulation Working Group, Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa, Winfred Law Opportunity Center, Warren County Human Services Board, and a principal of the Des Moines Flying Club, LLC. He continues to serve as a member of the Iowa Insurance Examination Review Committee and the Iowa Fire Marshall’s Arson Committee.
Bob has received both the Burkhalter Award and the Excellence Award from the Iowa CPCU Society Chapter and the Iowa Governor’s Life Savers Award.
In his spare time, Bob enjoys spending time with his family: wife Debbie, their five children, and four grandchildren.
